Hartes of Henley is a remarkable hidden treasure right in the centre of Mill Meadows in Henley. Surrounded by gorgeous green fields, set just back off the river and situated within walking distance of the train station and town centre, an idyllic setting for your child. After a few months of redecorating, recruiting a highly qualified new team and sprinkling our beautiful building with energy and laughter, we are ready to welcome you and your child to our little family.
Hartes of Henley provides a wonderful, warm, caring, safe environment where children can enjoy their childhood, developing their character and skills for life. We have created a home from home where children can feel calm, are able to explore, play and grow at their own pace. The warmth and atmosphere is instantly palpable and you can see how we support each individual child as they begin their exciting learning journey.
Offering a healthy balance of tradition and modernity and living by the mantra ‘Happy Children Learn’ we ensure that every child has a Key Carer. We will work closely with you to ensure your child’s transition into education is as fun and comfortable as possible. Every child develops and learns in different ways and at different rates and we will work with you to make sure your child is having the best experience to suit them. Your child will feel safe and secure and we help them learn and develop from their experiences. We support and promote open communication with both children and adults and would love for you to be as much a part of the Hartes of Henley family as your child.
The courses offer a fantastic mix of arts and craft, singing, sports, nature walks, play, music, adventures, painting, trips, den making, exploring etc. Older children will be able to get involved in further sporting activities, and there will be opportunities to follow a more arts and craft based programme which will include clay modelling, sketching, paper-maché etc. We will also include outdoor fun such as forest school, slip and slide and life skills such a needle work, cooking, science experiments etc.
The club will be run in a similar way to the normal nursery in order to create consistency and continuity for our all year round attendees.

In the nursery we offer places for children as young as 3 months of age, going all the way through to 5 years and 3 months. We have a peaceful and tranquil sleep room and various play areas full of entertaining, age appropriate toys to stimulate and engage them at all stages of their development. Our extraordinary staff will always go the extra mile to ensure your childs time with us flies by in a flurry of smiles and giggles. We can work with you to create a schedule that fits around you and your child.
We also offer a pre and post school childcare option for children up to aged 11 years of age. Our doors will open at 7.40am, Monday – Friday. We provide a delicious healthy breakfast and a walk to school service for children going to and from:

After school we collect children from the above schools (but can happily accept children from other schools) and provide them with a balanced, healthy, two course hot dinner. Our After School Club goes until 6pm. On arrival the children have a drink and a snack and are given the opportunity for outside play. They are also given the choice from a huge selection of toys, games and planned activities, as well as spending some time in homework club. After their meal the children can join in group activities and play indoors or outdoors depending on the weather until they are collected.
Children are dropped and collected to and from school by Hartes of Henley staff who will be dressed in bright green polo shirts. The children are given a high visibility jacket to wear for the duration of the walk. We then walk back slowly and safely to the nursery in a “walking bus”, where all the children hold hands in pairs and have a “driver” at the beginning and a “conductor” at the back.
The Hartes of Henley Holiday Activity Courses are an excellent opportunity for children aged 3 months to 11 years old to take part in a variety of enjoyable activities during the Half Terms and Easter & Summer holidays. Hours are 8.30am to 4pm with additional hours optional. The club is welcome to ALL children, whether you are already registered with Hartes of Henley or not.
All activities are arranged within a structured program, closely supervised by an experienced team of qualified staff and are Ofsted Registered. The contact number for Ofsted is 03001231231.
